As Founder and CEO of ABO Capital, Zandre Campos is reshaping how African-led investment unlocks the continent’s future. Under his leadership, ABO Capital has grown from an ambitious startup into an influential, pan-African investment firm with a global reach.

Born in Luanda, Angola, Campos’s childhood traversed continents from Cuba to the USA, and later to Portugal, where he earned a law degree from Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon. Beginning his career with Sonangol Holdings and later serving as an executive at Sonair, he went on to lead Movicel Telecommunications and Nazaki Oil & Gas before venturing into entrepreneurship.

In 2014, he co-founded ABO Capital with four trusted colleagues, establishing a mission that aligns global investment with Africa’s development: “creating global value for developing countries in Africa,” and driving growth across sectors like healthcare, energy, transport, education, real estate, and tech.

Recognized as one of the Top 25 African Business Influencers and honored with the Distinguished Business Excellence Award by African Leadership Magazine, Campos is widely quoted in major media and regularly speaks at forums worldwide.

Beyond finance, his leadership spans education and social impact. He’s overseen the establishment of CEPI schools (Maple Bear Angola), actively supporting tomorrow’s leaders through quality education. Furthermore, initiatives like the Amity Training Center in Luanda demonstrate his commitment to inclusive, transformational leadership development.

In thought leadership and public discourse, Campos consistently underscores the power of vision, resilience, and inclusive growth. He advocates for strategic planning, active listening, and staying true to purpose even amid challenges. He also champions diversity, education access, and gender parity as pillars of a fair and equitable society.
