The Nigerian Army has embarked on a strategic restructuring aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede has approved a major redeployment of senior officers into key command and staff positions.

The move is expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to critical roles, ultimately strengthening the Army’s ability to tackle ongoing security challenges. The redeployments affect various levels of command, including Principal Staff Officers, General Officers Commanding, Corps Commanders, and Brigade Commanders.

Notable appointments include Maj.-Gen. Adekunle Adeyinka as Chief of Logistics (Army), Maj.-Gen. A.A. Adekeye as Chief of Personnel Management (Army), and Maj.-Gen. T.B. Ugiagbe as Chief of Standard and Evaluation. These officers are expected to drive innovation and improvement in their respective domains.

Other key appointments are Maj.-Gen. A.A. Idris as Chief of Military Intelligence (Army), Maj.-Gen. M.O. Erebulu as Provost Marshal (Army), and Maj.-Gen. E.A. Anaryu as Corps Commander, Supply and Transport.

The Nigerian Army expressed confidence that these strategic redeployments will positively impact its operations, ultimately leading to improved security and stability in the country. Lt.-Gen. Oluyede charged the newly appointed officers to remain focused on sustaining ongoing operations against terrorism, insurgency, and other security threats, while prioritizing the welfare of troops.
