As the Founder and CEO of Will & Brothers, William Elong is redefining the frontiers of African-led innovation through drones, artificial intelligence, and economic intelligence consulting. Positioned at the crossroads of technology, entrepreneurship, and strategic development, William is building a company that not only responds to Africa’s pressing needs but also asserts the continent’s role as a global contributor in high-tech solutions.

A prodigy in his own right, William completed his bachelor’s degree at just 18 and went on to earn an MBA in Economic Intelligence in Paris by the age of 20, the youngest graduate in his institution’s history. With early career stints at global giants like Thales and Oracle, he honed his expertise in cybersecurity, defense, and digital transformation before returning to Cameroon to establish Will & Brothers.

Through his groundbreaking initiative, Drone Africa, William introduced Cameroon’s first locally developed civilian drones, offering affordable, practical solutions for agriculture, mapping, surveillance, and infrastructure monitoring. His models, including Algo, Logarithm, and Sanaga, were designed to be up to 25 times more cost-effective than international alternatives making advanced aerial services accessible to African markets.

Under William’s leadership, Will & Brothers has grown into a multi-faceted technology and consulting powerhouse, delivering over 200 projects, training more than 150 UAV pilots, and employing teams across Cameroon, Europe, and beyond. The company’s expansion into artificial intelligence and digital transformation has also positioned it as a key player in advancing Africa’s competitiveness in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

William’s innovative drive extends further through Faraday Lab, where he spearheaded the launch of ARES Chat, a multilingual generative AI platform positioned as a European alternative to ChatGPT. This project highlights his commitment to digital sovereignty and technological independence values that resonate both within Africa and globally.

His visionary contributions have earned him recognition on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list, further solidifying his reputation as one of the continent’s brightest young leaders. Beyond business, William is a strong advocate for youth-driven innovation and the empowerment of African talent in global technology ecosystems.

From building drones that serve local farmers to developing AI platforms with international reach, William Elong is charting a bold path for African technology. With every venture he leads, he demonstrates that the continent’s innovators are not just consumers of global technologies but creators shaping the future of intelligence, robotics, and digital transformation worldwide.
