In a bold move set to ignite Nigeria’s clean energy transformation, Nigerian conglomerate Tochil Group has entered a strategic alliance with GAC Energy Technology Company Ltd, a leading renewable energy firm based in the Republic of China. The new partnership aims to fast-track Nigeria’s green economy by deploying advanced solar technologies and building critical new energy infrastructure nationwide.

The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Guangzhou’s Nansha District, brings together the innovation-driven capabilities of GAC Energy and the vast local influence of Tochil Group.

Executives from both companies, including Xu Wenqiang, Director of International Business at GAC Energy, and Tochil Nwaneri, Chairman of Tochil Group, signed the agreement during a high-level ceremony attended by international stakeholders.

The group’s diversified portfolio spans real estate, infrastructure, banking, and power, positioning it as a powerful driver of market penetration and project execution.

The agreement extends beyond technology deployment it sets the stage for innovation in green financing, digital energy services, and regional expansion. Both companies have expressed interest in expanding this initiative across other African nations, signaling a broader ambition for continental impact.
