Morocco Telecommunications Operator INWI
Morocco Telecommunications Operator Inwi has unveiled a new range of high-speed fiber optic internet packages, along with automatic free upgrades for all current subscribers, in a major move to make ultra-fast internet more accessible across Morocco.
The telecom operator announced in a press release that all existing fiber customers will be upgraded to higher internet speeds without needing to take any action or pay additional fees. The announcement comes just one day after Maroc Telecom revealed a similar initiative, signaling an intensifying race among Morocco’s telecom providers to dominate the home internet market.
One of the most significant additions to Inwi’s offering is a new 500 Mbps plan priced at MAD 749 per month. Inwi also revealed that a 1 Gbps plan one of the fastest internet speeds currently available in Morocco will soon be launched at MAD 949 per month. These premium packages are tailored for households with high internet usage, such as streaming, online gaming, and remote work.
In addition to the new plans, Inwi has reduced prices across its existing fiber packages. The 50 Mbps plan has dropped from MAD 349 to MAD 299 per month. The 100 Mbps plan is now MAD 349 instead of MAD 449, while the 200 Mbps plan saw the most significant price cut, falling from MAD 649 to MAD 449 per month.
The company also confirmed that its fiber network is being extended to cover more regions across the country, improving access for more Moroccan households.
In its statement, Inwi highlighted the recent rollout of WiFi 7 in March 2025 a new home internet technology that offers speeds up to four times faster than previous generations, lower latency, and more reliable coverage throughout the home.
Meanwhile, Maroc Telecom sent SMS messages to its fiber customers announcing that their internet speed would be doubled to 200 Mbps, free of charge. The company said the upgrade is designed to improve the quality of streaming, gaming, and remote work experiences on its high-speed network.
With both major operators offering automatic speed boosts and lower prices, Moroccan consumers are poised to benefit from a new era of faster, more affordable fiber internet.
