A visionary entrepreneur and the Executive Chairman of GIG Group, Chidi Ajaere, is transforming a family legacy into a tech-powered, pan-African empire rooted in innovation and resilience. With a background in business management and international executive education, he leads the conglomerate with unwavering purpose and forward-thinking strategy.

When tragedy struck in 2009, the kidnapping and death of his father, 21-year-old Chidi returned from abroad to helm the family business. He didn’t just preserve the legacy; he reinvented it. Rebranding God is Good Motors into GIG Mobility, he injected tech-driven dynamism across operations from online bookings to smart fleet management.

Under his leadership, GIG Group diversified beyond road transport, expanding into logistics (GIG Logistics), aviation, energy, real estate, finance, and automobile manufacturing, most notably Jet Motors, an African-focused electric vehicle maker. Sales of Jet’s EVs to the National Automotive Design and Development Council highlight his commitment to sustainability.
Strategic expansion has extended GIG’s reach across West Africa from Accra to Kumasi and into global logistics markets, including the US, UK, and China.

Chidi’s leadership and influence extend into national policy: in 2024, President Bola Tinubu appointed him to the Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC), signaling his rising stature in shaping Nigeria’s economic trajectory.
