Vodacom is poised to redefine Africa’s digital landscape with its ambitious “Vision 2030,” aiming to connect millions more people and expand its financial services footprint.

The company plans to grow its customer base by 50 million, reaching 260 million users across eight African countries, while also increasing its financial services customers by over 35 million.

With smartphone penetration expected to rise from 63% to 75%, Vodacom sees fintech as a key driver of economic inclusion. By introducing innovative financial products, including wealth management services, the company targets financial services revenue growth of 15-20% by 2030.

Beyond connectivity, Vodacom is focused on accelerating overall group revenue, projecting an increase from 151 billion rand in 2025 to over 200 billion rand ($10.80 billion) by 2030.

This strategic growth aligns with the company’s mission to drive digital inclusion and economic empowerment across Africa.
