Heirs Energies, Africa’s leading indigenous-owned integrated energy company, is advancing Africa’s role as a credible partner in the global energy transition with strong representation at two major international gatherings: the U.S.–Africa Energy Forum in Houston, Texas, and the 2025 Namibia International Oil & Gas Conference.

At both events, the company highlighted its commitment to responsible resource development, energy sufficiency, and industrial growth across the continent.

Speaking in Houston, Osa Igiehon, CEO of Heirs Energies, joined global policymakers and industry leaders to chart pathways for stronger Africa–U.S. energy partnerships. He explained the importance of Africa defining its energy destiny by balancing hydrocarbons with renewable resources.

“Africa must define its energy future by leveraging both its abundant hydrocarbons and renewable resources. At Heirs Energies, we are committed to making energy sufficiency a reality for millions, while ensuring that sustainability, innovation, and local capacity building remain at the heart of our growth story,” Igiehon said.

Extending its global engagement to Namibia, one of Africa’s most promising frontiers for oil and gas, Heirs Energies reinforced its pan-African ambition. Igiehon shared insights on inclusive energy development and expressed the company’s intention to contribute to Namibia’s emerging energy sector.

“This visit marks the beginning of a long-term engagement, with many more interactions to come as we explore opportunities to contribute meaningfully to Namibia’s energy story,” he noted.

By showcasing its Africapitalism philosophy championed by its Founder and Group Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu, Heirs Energies positioned itself as more than a Nigerian operator. It underscored its role as a continental leader investing in energy solutions that balance profitability with social impact.
