Pathfinder International has taken a bold step in strengthening its leadership by appointing Tabinda Sarosh as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant moment for the global reproductive health organization.
Sarosh, a seasoned leader with more than two decades of experience in the development and humanitarian sectors, has been an integral part of Pathfinder for nearly ten years. She previously served as the organization’s Interim CEO before stepping into the permanent role.
In a statement signed by Oumar Onyango, the organization’s Senior Advisor for Research & Strategic Communications in Africa, Pathfinder described Sarosh’s leadership as a driving force in advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) worldwide.
“She brings continuity to our work at a critical time, along with more than 20 years of experience as a leader, clinician, and advocate in the development and humanitarian sectors. Her deep commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights and women’s empowerment continues to inspire our work globally.
“A graduate of Dow Medical College with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Ms Sarosh also holds a postgraduate degree in nutrition, which has allowed her to apply her clinical knowledge to develop numerous public health and advocacy programmes.
“Growing up in Southeast Asia in a multi-country environment, she has carried this international spirit and diplomacy throughout her life, shaping her leadership style and strategic vision.” the statement read, highlighting her commitment to women’s empowerment and global health advocacy.
As Pathfinder International continues its mission to provide family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention, and maternal health services, Sarosh’s leadership is expected to bring stability and innovation to the organization’s global efforts.
