A native of Uganda, Ham Serunjogi is reimagining financial inclusion across Africa as Co-Founder & CEO of Chipper Cash. With the vision of affordable, borderless peer-to-peer payments, Ham has steered Chipper from a college-born concept into a unicorn fintech pioneering mobile-based money transfers, virtual cards, crypto, and investment services all at minimal cost.

A Grinnell College economics graduate and former competitive swimmer, Ham launched Chipper in 2018 and guided it to a $2-billion valuation through funding from SVB Capital, Bezos Expeditions, and more. Serving millions of users across continents, Chipper continues to expand under his strategic leadership.

Beyond business, Ham amplifies his impact on global policy as one of the inaugural appointees to the U.S. President’s Advisory Council on African Diaspora Engagement, while also shaping the future of higher education on the Grinnell College Board of Trustees.

By keeping affordability, access, and purpose at the forefront, Ham Serunjogi is proving that African-led innovation doesn’t just thrive locally, it influences global financial systems.
