The summit, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, brought together Heads of State, Ministers, coffee authorities, institutions, and private sector stakeholders from across Africa to discuss strategies for strengthening the continent’s coffee sector.

Under the theme Unlocking Employment Opportunities for Youth through the Regeneration of the African Coffee Industry, the summit focused on strategies to stimulate growth and job creation. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Ethiopia is playing a key role in shaping the future of African coffee production.

Recognizing Ethiopia’s leadership, the summit accepted Ethiopia’s proposal to host the Fourth G-25 Africa Coffee Summit in Addis Ababa in 2027. “This is an opportunity we embrace with deep responsibility,” Temesgen affirmed.

With its rich heritage as the birthplace of coffee and the home of the globally sought-after Coffea Arabica, Ethiopia continues to champion the transformation of Africa’s coffee industry, ensuring long-term growth, sustainability, and prosperity.
