As part of ongoing efforts to improve employee well-being, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has partnered with the Chinese Embassy to provide free medical services to its staff. The initiative, set to take place on February 14, 2025, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex Medical Room, aims to enhance workplace health and productivity.

MYS Minister Cllr. Jeror Cole Bangalu emphasized the importance of employee health in fostering efficiency and effectiveness in public service. “This initiative is significant, and we are grateful to the Chinese Ambassador and the embassy for prioritizing the well-being of MYS employees,” he stated.

The Chinese Medical Outreach team, composed of experienced healthcare professionals, will conduct general health check-ups, consultations, and basic treatments for MYS employees. The initiative is expected to not only address immediate medical concerns but also encourage staff to prioritize their long-term health.

MYS Director of Human Resources, Samuel G. Paye, highlighted that the presence of the Chinese Ambassador at the event underscores the strong diplomatic relationship between Liberia and China. “The Chinese Medical Outreach team, made up of experienced medical professionals, will visit the Ministry’s office on February 14, 2025. They will offer a range of services, including general health check-ups, consultations, and basic medical treatments, he noted.

The outreach program reflects broader cooperation between Liberia and China in strengthening health services. Minister Bangalu urged employees to take full advantage of the initiative, recognizing it as a step toward fostering a healthier and more resilient workforce.
