Meet Tania Silva, empowerer of pipelines and pioneer of progress, currently serving as the CEO of Angola LNG Marketing Ltd (ALM). Based in London, she’s leading the charge in marketing Angola’s liquefied natural gas across global markets while adeptly managing the company’s shipping fleet and commercial operations.

With 18+ years of experience across Sonangol’s strategic and operational teams, Tania helped birth ALM and climbed through successive leadership roles ranging from analyst to communications advisor, and then asset management lead. Her involvement in major infrastructure initiatives like the Barra do Dande terminal and her stewardship of Sonangol’s rebranding amplified her reputation as a results-driven strategist.

In 2022, she was entrusted with senior advisory oversight as Head of Non-Operated Assets and Chair of the Senior Review Committee, roles that positioned her at the nexus of corporate governance and strategic direction before ascending to the CEO desk.

An awe-inspiring first: Tania is both ALM’s youngest and first female CEO, a move that reshaped the leadership narrative of the Angolan energy sector.

Educated across continents from Business Management in Angola to Petroleum Engineering in Manchester, and a postgraduate in Global Business at Oxford, her academic foundation mirrors her global executive outlook.

Under her leadership, ALM not only markets LNG it also embodies resilience, equity, and Africa’s capacity to lead energy innovation on its terms.
