Jagun Jagun , Actor Femi Adebayo’s netflix original epic Yoruba movie was undoubtedly the star of The show at the 16th edition of The best of nollywood (BON) awards held in ilorin kwara state on the 24th of November.
The event was hosted by Toyin Abraham – Ajeyemi to celebrate the exceptional talent and creativity that defines nollywood .
This masterpiece created by actor Femi adebayo achieved 12 nominations despite it’s top contenders which includes the movie “the weekend” and “Adire”
Jagun Jagun won six categories -best costume, best indigenous film, best production design, best special effects, and the top of it all Director of the year and to crown Femi’s effort he individually won the best actor of the year.
According to the Executive director of BON Awards Feranmi Olaoye, the winners were carefully selected after months of work by a capable jury
The BON Awards founded by Seun Oloketuyi has proved that it celebrates outstanding performances in the nollywood industry as Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo received a Lifetime achievement award presented by the Executive governor of Kwara state AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq alongside The D.G of the national institute of hospitality and tourism Aare Abisoye Fagade .
The event was was also graced by prominent nollywood figures namely Mercy Aigbe – Adoti , Kanayo O. Kanayo, Binta Ayo – Magaji , Femi Adebayo, Segun Arinze, Bimbo Manuel , Bisola Adebayo, Fred Amat and Foluke Daramola amongst a host of others.
