Jenifa’s Diary is a television comedy series created by Funke Akindele in 2015. This series tells the story of Jenifa’s franchise based on a comic and naive character. Jenifa’s Diary has seen several sequels – Return of Jenifa, Aiyetoro Town, and Jenifa on Lockdown.
On December 13th, 2024 ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ – a sequel of the thrilling movie Jenifa’s diary was released, dominating the Nigerian box office.
In just 12 days after release the masterpiece has earned over N511 million. According to box office figures, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ grossed N355.1 million in its first seven days of release thereby cementing its position as the highest grossing Nollywood film of the season.
The success of this piece can be related to its memorable première held in Lagos at Film house at Lekki. The event was hosted on December 8, 2024. It was graced by high profile actors and sophisticated persons in the industry namely Patience Ozokwor, Bisade Olugunde popularly known as ‘Lagbaja’, Stan Nze and a host of others.
