“Why Men Avoid Promiscuous Women for Marriage

Female promiscuity is frowned upon across all races, cultures and ethnicities. Society demands women to uphold the highest standards of sexual purity. Promiscuity is unnatural to women, it compromises their emotional, psychological and spiritual essence. Most men are not attracted to promiscuous women for long-term relationship such as marriage. Here are some of the reasons why men don’t consider promiscuous women fit for marriage:

Insecurity

Men find it difficult to trust a woman who had a promiscuous past. They feel uncomfortable when such woman isn’t within their geographical space, several thoughts fly through their mind whenever they see her talking with the opposite sex. For instance, in the movie titled Pretty Woman, Richard Gere was angry and jealous when he saw Julia Robert talking with the grandson of his competitor. Richard felt uncomfortable with the scenario because Julia was a prostitute that he had developed feelings for her. Most men don’t want to go through such emotional torture. That is why they find it difficult to marry promiscuous women. 

Risk of Infidelity 
Most men use promiscuous women for recreational uses rather than marrying them because they don’t trust them. No reasonable man in Nigeria will open his eyes and get married to a woman with a soiled past giving the spate of paternity fraud. Nigeria ranks 2nd position in paternity in the world, most men are carrying out due diligence before choosing their wife. The chances of a woman with promiscuous past cheating on her husband is high. Women with high moral standards view sex as a very sacred act that should be only be enjoyed with their husband while promiscuous women see sex as a sport. Any woman who sees sex as a sport is likely to cheat on her husband or better still loads her husband’s house with other men’s children.

Loss of Femininity 
Promiscuity erodes women’s femininity as they keep getting run through by different men. It causes women to lack shame, shame helps to regulate people’s behaviour. Most promiscuous women always act out of character because they lack shame, and they are  longer bothered by societal values and norms. This reflects in the way they talk, dress and behave. Promiscuity can even make women not to be respectful and submissive to their significant other. Most men don’t want to deal with the emotional baggage that promiscuous women acquired during their hoe phase. 

Emotional Baggage
As promiscuous women are piling up penises as she journeys through life, they are also piling up emotional baggage with them. Promiscuity is unnatural for women because it messes up their emotional and psychological state. Promiscuity affects the mental health of most women. Despite getting run through by multiple partners, they are are always diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and feeling of loneliness. Most promiscuous women lead a very sad and empty life. Some promiscuous women are on anti depressant drugs while others try to numb their emotional torture with alcohol and illicit drugs. Most men will rather look for women with low penile mileage than deal with a promiscuous woman with her emotional baggage.

Societal Stigma 
Society holds women to higher sexual standards than men. Promiscuous women are stigmatized by society. They are often slut shamed and deemed unsuitable to fit into any important role in the society. Men prefer exclusivity when it comes to choosing their partner because they are very territorial in nature. Any man who consciously marries a promiscuous woman loses his respect in the society especially among his peers. He becomes a butt of jokes for his poor choice of wife.
A woman’s dirty past life is capable of embarrassing her spouse, kids or family in future. For instance, a man who is contesting for a political position may face embarrassment when his opponents beam their light on his wife’s past and find sordid details that they can use against him.

Lack of Pair Bonding
Pair bonding can be found referred as the emotional and psychological bond that exist between two lovers in a relationship. Ideally, the human brain yearns for sexual gratification, romantic love and connection when a person is in love. When a woman is in a committed relationship, her brain releases a large quantity of oxytocin and vasopressin thereby making it easy to pair bond with her partner. However, according to a study from the Medical Institute of Sexual Health, frequent casual sex with several partners reduces the amount of neurochemical production and this affect pair bonding. Promiscuity triggers the brain of a woman to develop a new synaptic map of one-night stand. This is why it is difficult for a woman who had passed through a hoe phase to sustain a long-term relationship like marriage. 

Conclusion
Men consider these aforementioned factors and feel discouraged whenever they cross path with promiscuous women. Most men don’t have the energy to handle the baggage that a woman with soiled past bring into a relationship, so they keep then for recreational uses only.
